The St. Rose Math Teacher used the warm-ups in Book III daily plus one or two of the review problems and one or two of the word problems on a page. The students spent about 8 minutes to 10 minutes at the start of each day while the teacher took roll, passed back papers, etc. The students got a Book III off the shelf when they entered the room and did the assigned problems. After these 8-10 minutes the students did their regular curriculum. The warm-ups kept his students up to date on basics. Book III also kept them familiar with word problems. When taking the state test the students were very comfortable with word problems and did very well. |
